Here at Strandz Salon we have been working behind the scenes on several exiting things that will take our clients experience to the next level. We have added to our team, Miranda, a full time customer care assistant. She is amazing! She is taking care of all your scheduling and product needs. She also assists in the boutique. Reception is the heartbeat of the salon and we are thrilled with having someone as skilled, professional and welcoming as Miranda. Thank you! Miranda has been working very hard at transferring all of our data and appointments into our new booking system. All the wile handling the day to day front desk duties. The new system will make it much easier for us behind the scenes. We are really exited about the new online booking feature. You will still need to call the salon at 812-945-5480 for your first appointment so that we can do a consultation and set you up with a log in. Once you have been given an account you can book an appointment on our website! We also have a new more comprehensive menu, showcasing all of our amazing services. We are looking forward to a new year full of education, growth, happy stylists and flawless client experiences! Happy New Year!

“‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring, but a mother busting her butt trying to make sure everything was perfect for every body.”- someone on Pintrest. If this isn’t the truth. We hear it all the time; we need to take care of ourselves or we will end up with nothing left to give. This is everyone not just mothers. Dads may be working extra hours. Grandparents are stressing over gifts for possibly many grandchildren. College students are traveling maybe long distances to multiple places. There are people stressing over being alone during the holidays. At Strandz we offer so many services and products at all price points that will really make a difference in how you feel through the holiday season. Let us help you take care of yourself.
THE EFFECTS OF STRESS ON THE HAIR AND BODY
Most of us know that stress affects our mind body and soul. It has real physical symptoms including aches and pains, heartburn/digestive issues, high blood pressure, immune system problems, susceptibility, sleep problems and the list can go on. According to the Mayo clinic having long term chronic stress can lead to a disruption in just about all your systems leaving you susceptible to chronic illness.
As stylists we can tell if someone has been under stress sometimes before the client realizes it. We can tell by your hair. Prolonged stress can cause Alopecia Areata, loss of circular clumps of hair. The physical effects of stress listed above have direct effects on your hair. When you come in with hair that is thinner, maybe dry and lifeless we can offer help! We always suggest seeing a Doctor when we notice changes in your hair, but here are the things we can offer you to de-stress. you don’t just want to make it through, but enjoy the holiday season. This season is about joy, love, peace, hope and restoration after all.
